What are the Tint Laws in Wisconsin?

  • Windshield: Non-reflective tint is allowed above the AS-1 line, which is usually the top four to six inches of the windshield. The windshield must be clear and unobstructed below the AS-1 line. If the windshield doesn't have an AS-1 line, no tint can be applied. 

  • Front side windows: Tint must allow more than 50% of light to pass through. 

  • Back side windows: Tint must allow more than 35% of light to pass through. 

  • Rear window: Tint must allow more than 35% of light to pass through.
